Stock market analysis is the practice of measuring and interpreting equity data — price, trading volume, fundamentals, and momentum — to understand how a company is performing and why. On DataPorium, every stock pairs a live, interactive price chart with a full company profile, income, balance-sheet and cash-flow statements, segment breakdowns, and curated news, so you can move from a quick glance to deeper analysis without switching tools. The same equity data is also available through the DataPorium financial data API, built for analysts, developers, and AI agents.
To read a stock chart, start with the timeframe: short ranges (1D, 5D) reveal intraday volatility, while longer ranges (1Y, 5Y) show the broader trend. Compare the current price against the day’s high and low and the 52-week range to judge where a stock sits in its cycle. Volume confirms the conviction behind a move, and pairing price action with fundamentals and news sentiment helps separate short-term noise from genuine shifts in a company’s outlook.

Open the Business Segments tab of any stock. It shows the company's revenue split by business segment, by product or service, and by region or country, as reported in its filings. Switch from Annual to Quarterly to see each fiscal quarter, with shares of the total and a line that reconciles the segments to total revenue.
In the Business Segments tab, the Regions and Countries views show revenue by place for each year or quarter, with the share of each one. Many companies report regions only once a year, so those views are marked annual only in the quarterly view.
Most companies do not report the fourth quarter on its own. It is then calculated as the full year minus the first three quarters, but only when every segment appears in all four reports. These values carry a Calculated badge.
Open the Short Interest tab of any US stock. It shows the shares sold short on each settlement date twice a month since 2017, the change from the report before, days to cover and the percent of shares outstanding, with a chart next to the share price. The Most Shorted Stocks screener ranks all stocks.
For drug makers, the Drug Pipeline tab lists the company's registered clinical trials by phase and status, with the conditions, drugs, dates and enrollment of each study, and every US drug approval the company holds, including novel drugs and new uses.
