What is wrong
Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Bumper Pull seven or eight foot wide Toy Hauler trailers manufactured October 1, 2015, to October 31, 2016. The fuel tank may have been attached to the sub frame without rivnuts, and as a result, the mounting bolts may loosen and the fuel tank may detach.
What can happen
If the fuel tank becomes loose and detaches from the vehicle, a fuel leak may result, increasing the risk of a fire.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
ATC will notify owners and dealers will replace the mounting bolts, free of charge. The recall began on January 13, 2017. Owners may contact ATC customer service at 1-574-773-2440. ATC's number for this recall is ARVFTANK.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
