What is wrong
Atwood Mobile Products (Atwood) is recalling certain left side seat adjusters, model numbers 486059, 486053, 486077, 487952, and 486954, used in All Belts to Seats (ABTS) applications, manufactured June 14, 2016, to August 31, 2016. The affected seat adjusters may allow seats to move in the event of a crash. As such, these adjusters fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
