What is wrong
Custom Truck and Body Works (Custom Truck) is recalling certain 2020 F550 vehicles equipped with Weldon V-Mux Vista IV Standard LCD displays. These displays may experience low voltage spikes, and cause the LCD display to lock up or become nonfunctional, due to varying electrical installations.
What can happen
If the LCD display becomes locked up or non-functional it can delay emergency efforts, which can increase the risk of injury.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Dealers will replace the IV Standard LCD displays, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Custom Truck customer service at 1-888-712-2963.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
