What is wrong
Maxzone Auto Parts Corporation (Maxzone) is recalling certain DEPO-brand headlamps sold as replacement equipment for certain model year 2004 through 2008 Ford F-150 pickup trucks. The replacement lamps may have areas of moisture inside the lens. As such, the headlamps fail to conform to the humidity requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108, Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
What can happen
The headlamps may not illuminate the roadway as brightly as intended, resulting in reduced visibility for the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Maxzone will replace the noncompliant headlamps free of charge. The recall began on February 14, 2014. Owners may contact Maxzone at 1-909-822-3288.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
