What is wrong
EVject, Inc. (EVject) is recalling certain Escape Connector NACS v1.0 and v1.1 electric vehicle charging cable adaptors. The adapters were manufactured without internal thermal protection.
What can happen
A connected charging cable without thermal protection can overheat, increasing the risk of a burn injury.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
EVject will replace all adapters without built-in thermal protection, free of charge. Interim owner notifications explaining the safety risk were mailed December 26, 2024. A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact EVject customer service at info@evject.com or 1-650-308-8671.
