What is wrong
Fleetline is recalling certain Nu-Line and Fleetline Fender Brackets and Fender Kits with Fender Brackets, part numbers N230PMLH, N230PMRH, N230-19L, N230-19R, 1650-1, 1650-2, 1650-7 and 1650-8, manufactured January 1, 2015, to April 13, 2015. Due to an insufficient weld, portions of the affected fender brackets may separate, causing the fender to not be properly supported.
What can happen
If the fender is not supported, it may contact the tires, and the fender may be torn from the vehicle, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
