What is wrong
DTNA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 AND 2012 CORONADO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A SET FORWARD FRONT AXLE AND A LOGGER BUMPER WITH A CENTER TOW DEVICE MANUFACTURED FROM MARCH 9, 2010, THROUGH JULY 16, 2011. CERTAIN BUMPER MOUNTING BRACKETS MAY CRACK.
What can happen
IF NOT REPAIRED, THE CRACK MAY LEAD TO THE BUMPER FALLING OFF OF THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
DTNA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE BUMPER MOUNTING BRACKETS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DAIMLER TRUCKS AT 1-800-547-0712.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
