What is wrong
Jet Company, Inc. (Jet) is recalling certain model year 2014 Grain dry bulk trailers manufactured November 1, 2013, to February 14, 2014, equipped with certain CBX series Trailer Suspension Systems. The affected trailer suspensions have pivot bolts that may fail.
What can happen
Failure of the pivot bolts may cause the suspension and attached axle to separate from the trailer that it was connected to, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Jet will notify owners, and service centers will replace the defective pivot bolts with new pivot bolts, free of charge. The recall began February 4, 2016. Owners may contact Jet customer service at 1-515-332-3117, or SAF-Holland customer service at 1-888-396-6501.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
