What can happen
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. In addition, pieces of the O-ring may clog the fuel lines, causing a loss of engine performance and increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until they replace the fuel filter. K&N will refund the purchase price, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in July 28, 2026. Owners may contact K&N customer service at recallreturn@knfilters.com or 1-866-401-5660.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
