What is wrong
Prevost Cars, Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain Kidde Plastic-Handle and Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers sold as accessory equipment for use in coaches. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.
What can happen
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
