What is wrong
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar rearview camera modules with part numbers 68284643AC, 68417057AA, 68417055AA, and 56054158AG. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the rearview camera image not to display properly.
What can happen
A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Cameras that have not been installed on a vehicle will be repurchased. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed September 30, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated July 2026. A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
