What is wrong
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain MOPAR body and jumper wiring harnesses. Please refer to Chrysler's attached document for specific part number information. Water may enter the electric power steering wiring harness, which can disable power steering assist.
What can happen
A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring harness and electronic power steering gear, as necessary, free of charge. Dealers will repurchase uninstalled wiring harnesses. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed November 17, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available.
