What is wrong
Quality Van Sales, Inc. (Quality Van) is recalling one 2023 Ford Transit 350 vehicle, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
What can happen
The seat back could release when force is applied to the shoulder belt, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Quality Van will work with the equipment manufacturer, Freedman, to inspect and repair the seats as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 1, 2024. The owner may contact Quality Van Sales Inc at 800-408-8550.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
