What is wrong
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain Rugger Liner hard, tri-fold tonneau covers sold as accessories for 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 series trucks. The attachment system may not properly secure the cover to the pickup bed.
What can happen
If the cover separates from the truck bed, it could be a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
