What is wrong
ShowHauler Trucks, Inc. (ShowHauler) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Garagecoaches manufactured September 25, 2014, to July 7, 2015. The affected vehicles are equipped with Thieman Tailgates-brand TVL 12/16 series lift gates supported with roller chains that may fail.
What can happen
Failure of either the street or curb side roller chain would result in that side of the platform falling immediately to the ground without notice, causing an uneven surface and increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
ShowHauler will notify owners, and Thieman dealers will replace the lift gate chains, free of charge. The recall began on October 20, 2016. Owners may contact Thieman customer service at 1-800-524-5210 extension 104 or ShowHauler customer service at 1-574-825-6764. ShowHauler's number for this recall is 16E076.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
