What is wrong
Strehl, LLC (Strehl) is recalling certain TrailerBlade Fleet trailer skirts, part number 404000. The mounting brackets may separate from the skirt panels.
What can happen
If multiple brackets separate, the trailer skirt could detach from the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Strehl will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brackets and install a supplemental safety cable on each bracket. If cracks are detected, the brackets will be replaced. A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
