What is wrong
Vanguard National Trailer Corporation (Vanguard) is recalling all 2023-2024 trailer models built after November 2022 and equipped with a SAF Holland Tire Pilot Plus (TPP) tire inflation system. The TPP electronic controller may open the check valves, causing the tires to deflate.
What can happen
A loss of tire pressure while driving can lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Vanguard will work with equipment manufacturer to replace and reactivate the Tire Pilot Plus system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 8, 2024. Owners may contact Vanguard customer service at 1-888-253-3008.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
