What is wrong
ASA Electronics, LLC. (ASA) is recalling certain Voyager rear cameras, model number VCMS140I, manufactured November 25, 2014, to April 14, 2015. The affected rear cameras may reverse the display image, possibly displaying images on the right that should appear on the left and vice versa.
What can happen
If the camera displays the image in reverse, the driver may inadvertently turn the wrong direction to avoid hitting an object behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Recall repairs are free of charge.
ASA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear camera, free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2015. Owners may contact ASA customer service at 1-877-384-4400.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
