What is wrong
Strategic Sports, Ltd. (Strategic Sports) is recalling certain Zox Nano Helmets sizes XL through XXXXXL, with manufacture dates of February 2013 and March 2013. The helmet size and the date of manufacturer are printed on a sewn-in black fabric label, inside the helmet. These helmets may not adequately protect the wearer in the event of a secondary head impact during a motorcycle crash. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, Motorcycle Helmets."
What can happen
In the event of a crash where the rider hits the helmet twice in the same spot, the helmet may not adequately protect the wearer, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Strategic Sports will notify owners and refund the purchase price of the helmets. Owners may contact Strategic Sports at helmet.recall.info@gmail.com.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
