Who we are
DataPorium is a data website operated by Dataporium LLC. It brings together data on stock markets and companies, the economy, real estate, elections, trading by members of Congress, banks, healthcare, layoffs and energy, and makes it searchable on the site, through our API and through an MCP server for AI assistants.
Our articles explain what that data shows: what changed, how one company, place or period compares with another, and what the numbers mean in plain English. Articles link to the related data pages, so readers can look further.
Sources
Every article is built on sources of these kinds:
- Official data from government agencies and regulators, such as company filings with the SEC, jobs and price statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, bank data from the FDIC, and results published by state and local election offices, among others.
- Our own datasets, the same data shown on DataPorium's pages and offered through our API, each stored with the date it refers to.
- Cited news and research, such as company announcements, central bank statements and published studies, named in the article's "Sources" section.
How numbers are checked
Every number in an article traces back to a source listed in the "Sources" section at the bottom of that article. Figures that change over time are given with the date they refer to.
Updates and corrections
Each article shows the date it was published. When an article is revised with new data or a correction, it also shows an "Updated" date.
If you find a mistake, please tell us at info@dataporium.tech with the address of the article and what looks wrong. When a mistake is confirmed, we correct the article and show the new "Updated" date.
Neutrality
- No political side. Articles about elections, Congress and government report what the data shows for every party and candidate in the same way. They do not endorse or oppose any party, candidate or policy.
- No investment advice. Articles explain data and how it is commonly used. They are not personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and they do not tell readers to buy or sell anything.
More about our data and how often it updates is on the About & Methodology page.
