ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE AUDIBLE SIGNAL MAY NOT SOUND WHEN THE EMERGENCY DOOR RELEASE MECHANISM IS NOT IN THE CLOSED POSITION AND THE IGNITION IS IN THE "ON" POSITION. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 217, "BUS WINDOW RETENTION AND RELEASE".
