What is wrong
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES. THESE MOTOR HOMES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 121, "AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS." THESE VEHICLES WERE ASSIGNED AN INADEQUATE FRONT AXLE WEIGHT RATING (FAWR). AS A CONSEQUENCE, THE FRONT BRAKE CANISTERS AND SLACK ADJUSTERS DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE STANDARD REQUIREMENTS.
What can happen
THIS COULD CAUSE INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCES DURING BRAKING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FRONT BRAKE CANISTERS AND REPLACE THEM IF NECESSARY. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 15, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT COUNTRY COACH AT 1-800-452-8015.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
