What is wrong
Isuzu Motors Limited (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2025 FTR vehicles. The tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.
What can happen
Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.

All affected vehicles are still within dealer inventory and therefore no owner notification letters will be mailed. Owners may contact Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638. A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
