What is wrong
THESE BUSES ARE EQUIPPED WITH COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS FUEL TANKS SUPPLIED BY EDO CANADA. THE FUEL CYLINDER STRAPS EXPAND WHEN TANKS ARE PRESSURIZED CAUSING BRACKETS TO BREAK THE MOUNTING HARDWARE.
What can happen
THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE THE CYLINDER TO FALL INCREASING THE RISK OF EXPLOSION OR FIRE.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
A NEW STRAP WITH ELASTOMERIC SPRINGS THAT WILL ALLOW THE STRAP TO EXPAND WITH THE TANK HAS BEEN DESIGNED AND WILL BE INSTALLED ON THESE BUSES.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
