What is wrong
SOME VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH A WINDSHIELD MASK HAVING TOO LARGE AN OPENING WHICH WAS NOT ANGLED CORRECTLY. THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD COULD COME OUT OF THE RUBBER MOLDING, ALLOWING THE WINDSHIELD GLASS TO SHIFT BACK APPROXIMATELY ONE INCH.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
ALL INVOLVED VEHICLES WILL HAVE THE MASK REFORMED AND A BRACKET WILL BE ADDED TO ENSURE THE RETENTION OF THE WINDSHIELD.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
