What is wrong
TEMSA GLOBAL (TEMSA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 TS35 BUSES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MALFUNCTION WARNING INDICATOR DOES NOT ILLUMINATE IN A CHECK LAMP FUNCTION WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED TO THE ON OR RUN POSITION.
What can happen
WITHOUT THE CHECK LAMP FEATURE, THE DRIVER MAY NOT BE AWARE THAT THE INDICATOR LAMP IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, AND IF THERE WERE AN ABS PROBLEM, THE DRIVER WOULD NOT RECEIVE A WARNING. A MALFUNCTIONING ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
