What is wrong
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Cahaba recreational vehicles. The rear Sumo Springs may be the wrong size and the front Sumo Springs may have been installed in an incorrect location.
What can happen
The incorrectly-sized rear springs may buckle from over-compression. Incorrectly installed front springs may potentially cause damage to the front axle. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Dealers will inspect and replace the rear Sumo Springs and relocate the front springs, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 21, 2023. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is TIF-128.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
