What is wrong
Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2017-2018 FUV motorcycles. The front turn signal lights are not positioned at, or near, the front of the motorcycle as required. As such, these vehicles fail to comply to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective devices, and Associated Equipment."
What can happen
The incorrectly positioned front turn signals can reduce their visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Arcimoto has notified all affected owners and the motorcycles are within the manufacturer's control. Arcimoto will add identical signal lights to a location in front of the existing ones, free of charge. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293. Arcimoto's number for this recall is 7F7-P5R6U-12.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
