What is wrong
Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2019 Jayco Precept and Precept Prestige motorhomes built on a Ford chassis and equipped with 22.5 inch front wheels. The front wheel hub assembly may have wheel studs that were not properly heat treated.
What can happen
If a sufficient quantity of wheel studs break on one hub, vehicle handling could be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Ford will notify owners, and Ford dealers will inspect the front wheel hub assemblies and studs, and replace the studs as necessary, free of charge. The recall began September 28, 2018. Owners may contact Ford customers service at 1-866-436-7332 or Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
