What is wrong
Prevost is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 X3-45 and XLII Entertainer Bus vehicles, manufactured from November 24, 2010, through July 3, 2012. The power cable may come in contact, or rub against sharp, abrasive edges.
What can happen
If this occurs, a short-circuit, or fire may result, increasing the risk of personal injury.
The fix
Recall repairs are free of charge.
Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, repair the power cables free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during August 2012. Owners may contact Prevost Car Inc., service department toll-free at 1-866-870-2046 or 1-418-831-2046.

A recall means the maker found a safety problem and offers a free fix; it does not mean every unit has the problem. Units affected are as reported by the company. Popular models sell more and so have more recalls and complaints. Official public data; texts are shortened. A dealer can tell whether a single vehicle still needs the repair.
